Cardinals and Packers Compared to Jersey Shore

1/10/10

After a full weekend of football I’m not so sure how to feel…excited, tired, perhaps exhausted. What I do know is I have to agree with the Twitter update I caught after the 2nd half of the Cardinals Packers game: “I haven’t seen this much scoring since the last Jersey Shore Episode.”

Defense…are you out there? 96 combined points does not and should not be equivalent to the start of NFL playoffs. Certainly having the offense run the show makes for an exciting game, but the defense from both teams were really (for lack of a better word) bad. And if Arizona wants to continue down last years path any further the defense needs to put a little spark in their step, better yet, lets make it a fire.

On the other hand, how spectacular were the catches, grabs, and snags in this game? Very impressed with the steady hands and amazing plays that came Sunday night, and I hope it is a sign of things to come offensively in the next couple weeks.

Kurt Warner threw extremely accurate and, in my opinion, deserved to win last night’s finale. The Cardinals advance to play the Saints next week and I’m hoping the Brees against Warner battle gives me that same unsure feeling I had last night.
